Radius Indiana | Main Street Campaign
For nearly a decade, Blueline has partnered with Radius Indiana to bring to life projects that showcase the heart and history of Southern Indiana. Our latest collaboration took us along the Monon South Trail and the Magnificent Monon South Regional Main Street Program, capturing the stories of the people, places, and small businesses that make these communities so unique.
Spanning nearly 60 miles, the Monon South Trail follows the historic Monon Railroad, once a vital artery for transporting limestone, coal, and passengers across Indiana. Now, as the trail transforms into the longest continuously running recreational trail in the state, it’s breathing new life into the towns along its route. Our journey took us through Borden’s smallest breakfast diners, the most delicious ice cream spots in New Pekin, the freshest bakery in Salem, 100-year-old museum buildings, small-town street fairs in Mitchell (home to the best corn dogs), farmers markets in Orleans, $10 walk-in haircuts at a classic barbershop, and the colorful historic homes in Campbellsburg. These details aren’t just part of the scenery—they’re what make these communities feel like home.
For Radius Indiana, this initiative isn’t just about a trail—it’s about economic revitalization, connectivity, and preserving the small-town charm that makes Southern Indiana special. Capturing this project gave us the opportunity to meet the people behind the progress—local business owners, farmers, community leaders, and residents—all working to create thriving, welcoming communities.
